EXPLORE
EXPLORE is the club’s application to the #BeActive EU Sport Awards, the European Commission’s awards for sport and physical activity, funded through Erasmus+, in the Volunteering category. It presents our model: free one-day hikes run by volunteers, where today’s participants become tomorrow’s organisers.
- 23 September 2025: the club’s first European proposal. It did not reach the finalists. Read more
- 17 September 2026: the proposal, rewritten from scratch, was submitted again. Status: under evaluation. Read more
The European hiking federation
Since 5 October 2024, Clubul Montan Transilvania has been a full member of the European Hiking Federation (ERA), the European federation of hiking organisations, known until 2025 as the European Ramblers’ Association. Through the federation we are connected with hiking clubs and associations across Europe, and club members can take part in its yearly conference.
